Convention
Planning Meeting
Saturday, 20 October, 2001
1:00 p.m. Home of Susan Staudt
q
ad forms
are due back from the printer this week
q
In House:
2 ad forms will be included in the next issue scheduled to come out this week.
Each recipient will be challenged to return two personal ads for $25.00
each (total $50). If everyone would
meet this challenge – our fundraising goal would be met!!!
We’d be through!!!
q
If the
personal challenge is not met, we will need to sell ads to the convention book.
All CCL personnel are asked to send out the solicitation letters and
follow up by PERSONALLY solicit targeted businesses in their local.
q
ALL
FUNDRAISING FORMS AND MONEY SHOULD BE RETURNED DIRECTLY TO THE ZONGKERS!!!
q
Zongkers are currently composing a
letter to the Bishops of the neighboring dioceses (OK, KS, Arkansas, Arizona,
Louisiana), asking for permission to solicit parishes, and requesting a letter
from the Bishop and labels back to use for the solicitation.
q
Timeline:
1.
In House
challenge: goes out this month
2.
Individual
Challenge to NFP users in participating states: goes out Jan 02
3.
Parish
solicitation: dependent upon turnaround from Bishops, but hoping for Jan 02
A special “THANK YOU” to the Zongkers for taking on this job and bringing it up to speed in such a short period of time. No money, no convention!!! Without them we would all be out of a job! THANKS!!!
Melissa
& Sara Nauman – Teens; Child Care:
q
They are
excited to be part of the committee. They
have attended the convention and attended the convention child care program for
many years.
q
Abstinence
key chains: would make a great
“prize” for activities. Also
would like to have them for sale to the teens and their parents.
Great idea!
q
Scavenger
hunt activity: emphasizing learning more about their faith.
We
are excited to have you helping with the teens! They are the future of CCL and the world!
