Friends of Bolivia was formed in Oklahoma City, OK to give Christian-based medical assistance, love, and hope to the many poor and needy people of Bolivia. In its early days, Friends of Bolivia shipped medicine to the poor of northern Bolivia. Today, Friends of Bolivia has expanded its mission to include sending a medical team to various rural villages in Bolivia annually. It also helps support an orphanage in La Paz, bring Bolivians to Oklahoma who need specialized medical attention, and provides awareness of the ongoing poverty crisis in Bolivia.
