Friends of Bolivia took 17 doctor, nurse and pharmaceutical volunteers from the Pan American Medical Foundation of Oklahoma to Chulumani. Dr. Adolfo Rocha and his wife Martha, a dental assistant joined us on this mission. They are our first Bolivian volunteers.
We also meet Dr. Wilma Rocha, an intern at the time of this mission, in Chulumani. She completed her M.D. in 1996 and has volunteered her services with Friends of Bolivia on every mission since.
